Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun...The monster seated next to me

Hello~~~ Today I am going to talk about a new-released anime, Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun, 'The monster seated next to me' in english!    The story was adapted from a manga to an anime and was first aired on 2nd October this year. *.*    This anime is a very sweet love story <3 but it is also very amusing because the characters always have 'unexpected moves'!  XD   The chicken adopted by the main boy character, Haru Yoshida is also very interesting... XD and it reminds me of my friend Baku... XD

Anyway, the story is started with the main girl character, Shizuku Mizutani.

Shizuku is an intelligent and hard working girl.    The most important thing in her life is academic and she is also very cool - she doesn't really care about the other people/animals.    (Her initial dream was to have an annual salary of 10 million yen XD) Things changes when she is asked to find a classmate who is always absent, Haru Yoshida, by her tutor (free textbooks in return XD).

(handsome, right? XD)

Haru is a very weird person and is always causing troubles such as suddenly start fighting with the others. =.=''    (He is the 'monster' mentioned in the title!)  The arrival of Shizuku however impresses Haru very much and he 'classifies' her as a friend.    He later decides to go back to school (mostly because he likes Shizuku :3) but his peculiar actions still scare a lot of people after he returns.    For example, he would leave the classroom by jumping out the window.... XD   Shizuku later finds herself falls in love with him 0.0'''' but Haru seems to be uncertain about his feeling this time, though he tells Shizuku in the beginning that he really likes her.
Anyway, Shizuku doesn't give up on Hatu and Haru continues to cause troubles XD in Shizuku's life... I am looking forward to what's going to happen and I am up to episode 4 now! :)

Well, here are some photos from the anime which I find quite interesting! :D

Haru chasing after Shizuku.... XD

The CHICKEN!!!

Haru is jealous... XD

Want to start a fight?? XD

Well, this is the end of my post today... hope you enjoy reading it!!! XD I am actually really interested in manga and anime and if you don't mind, I will have more posts about manga/anime!!! Hahaha... XP  Anyway, see you next time and best regards to all of you! :DDD

*All the photos are from the internet!! :)

Battlefield Falconry Centre

I was looking at photos for my art coursework and I found some really good ones! They were taken when I went to the Battlefield Falconry Centre last term and I wanted to show them to you! :D

Well, this is the look of the centre! :)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Let's begin with photos of baby owls... (sorry about that I can't really remember some of the birds' species... ><" Please tell me if I am wrong!)
Here is a perfect shot of this baby owl~ :3  It looks really cute and innocent!! <3  It also has really big eyes! ^-^
It sits like this... XD haha!
Here are two very fat European Eagle Owl babies and they are two to three times bigger than the last baby owl. :3
Do you think they are planning for something? Do you want to know what they are going to do? XD   Well, here's a video clip about what they did later and was filmed by Jasmine. XD
One of the instructors was very nice and he wanted to pick one of these fat guys XD up so we could take a better photo of them. :)    However, this turned out very =.='' as the baby owl was scared (by us ><)...  and here're what I thought the baby owl was thinking...XPP
Baby owl: What are you guys doing here?!
Baby owl: WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME?!   0.0
Baby owl: LET ME GO!!! :'(
Baby owl: wuu..... TOT
Baby owl: T^T I give up....
XP
Anyway XD, this is a photo of a baby Ural Owl and it looks very cute as well! :D
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Well, here are the photos of 'adults' bird of prey! XD

Um... this owl is somehow yawning... XDDD   Perhaps due to the fact that we went to there in the afternoon, all of the 'parents birds' seemed tired and wanted to sleep... XD

This is a photo of a Spotted Eagle Owl and it's sleeping!! XDD

A Barn Owl! Sleeping as well!! XD

This is a Screech Owl sleeping in a nest box!    Its position was very good so I took this photo!

 Here is a Chaco Owl and is awaken!  I really have to admit that owls are born to be models and this owl just seems to be so beautiful and so professional!  :D  It really looks like that the owl's ready for me to take a photo!

This is a photo of a Great Grey Owl and it has a really funny face!!! XD

This is an Indian Eagle Owl and it looks very pretty as well! :)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Some birds were put outside the cages and were resting on the little field in the middle of the centre!  Here are some photos of them. ^ ^
This owl looks really happy (good weather!) and energetic!   It has very beautiful feathers and this is a very good photo to draw at! :D
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

This is a Steppe Eagle and it's really aggressive, comparing to the other birds!   It is really big and is quite scary actually! ><"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Well, here comes my favourite, and it is also the gentlest bird!  It is a peresaker - peregrine + saker falcon!  It is relatively small and is very cooperative!  Since I was taking photos for my art coursework, I wanted to take photos of the birds' feathers.   The other birds didn't really pay attention to me but this peresaker was willing to show many different poses to me so I can take photos for it... :D Thank you!
Beautiful wings!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Well, this is the end of my post!!  Hope you enjoy reading it and see you next time! Best regards to all of you. :)

Love is

Love is patient, love is kind.
It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails.
1 Corinthians 13:4-8, Bible

I am reminded of this definition of love and I come up with two questions, suddenly: what do we mean when we love someone and do we really understand what is meant by love.    Several months ago, I watched this documentary in my church with my friends and we all ended up crying...  This documentary is called 'Lovelife' and is about three 13-year-old Taiwanese girls who were diagnosed with bone cancer.     They didn't have much time left in their life yet they wanted use their own stories to tell the others to treasure and love their own lives.    Their stories make me reconsider my attitude to my life, my plans for my future and also, my relationships to my family and my friends.

Um... the introduction bit doesn't have English subtitles... -.- and here are my own translations! (Sorry that my translation is not very good ><""")

These three very cute and very brave young girls, Chia-Wen, Dora and Yi-Hwa,  left us and became angels in the heaven already.    Yet, they wanted to share with you a story of their life... if you only have a tiny bit of time left in  your life, how would you treat it?

The documentary's duration is one hour... actually quite long! XD   Um... but I would say that you wouldn't regret spending your time watching it! :)  The most inspirational part of it to me is the attitude of Dora's mother.    Despite that she was very sad after her daughter's death, she continued to 'spread her love' to the others that she visited school, jails and hospitals to tell people not to give up hopes and lives easily.     The question asked by the three girls also gave my a very strong impression as they ask that would we switch our lives with theirs if there is a chance like this.

Well, this is the end of my post today.  Thank you for reading it and see you next time! :)

Training day of my trip to Costa Rica :3

   Today I had a training day, or I should say that I had a planning day for my Costa Rica trip next summer. :)   The organizers of our trip (from Outlook Expedition) came to my school and had a presentation about what we should expect for our trip.   We also had some team games together so we got to know our team members better and we planned the activities we should do there and some fundraising programs we can do (such as washing the teacher’s cars for money in return XP).

    We are going to have an 18-day-trip in Costa Rica and the first two days will be used to travel and to let us adjust to the new time zone and the new temperature! ><" I really think I will have a serious jet-lag...  We will then have a day to organize what should we bring in the entire trip and we will have a 4-day-expedition to a rain forest which calls Children's Eternal Rainforest!    This rain forest is near to Santa Elena and we will spend two nights in the Monteverde Reserve and one night actually sleeping in the rainforest.    We will arrive at La Fortuna, a rural city nearby on the fourth day and we will then go to a village calls La Flor, in the central Costa Rica.   We are there to carry out a community project and we will stay in there for 5 days.   We will be able to help with some construction works (such as building a school) and meet with local people.    We will spend a day rafting down the Rio Reventazon after this community project and I am really looking forward to it!!! *.*   We will also go 'sea turtles watching' after this at the Northern Caribbean Coast for three days... (the travel time is quite long though... ><""")  And after all of this, we will pack our stuff and go back to the UK!    The flight takes possibly two days and these are what me and my team members doing in this expedition! :D

    Well, here comes the end of my post… sorry that there’s no photos ><”” and hope you enjoy reading my post!   See you next time and best regards! :)

Poetreee XD

:P I am going to talk about some poems today because I have read some really interesting poems in my lessons~ I want to share them with you and I hope you will like these poems too! XD

Well, this is the first poem, and it is written by Roger McGough. :D

 40             love

 middle       aged
 couple       playing
 ten             nis
 when         the
 game         ends
 and            they
 go              home
 the             net
 will            still
 be              be
 tween     them

Actually, the way to read the poem is to look at the words on both sides! XD  I think it's quite interesting and I didn't get it at first... I thought it was just a group of meaningless words... XD
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The second one is 'Half Caste', written by John Agard.  It actually contains quite a lot of non-standard grammar but the message the author, John Agard wants to bring out and the way he express his anger is very good.    'Half caste' actually means people who have a mixed race identity and they were suffering from serious discriminations when Agard wrote this poem.
Excuse me
standing on one leg
I'm half-caste
Explain yuself
wha yu mean
when yu say half-caste
yu mean when picasso
mix red an green
is a half-caste canvas/
explain yuself
wha u mean
when yu say half-caste
yu mean when light an shadow
mix in de sky
is a half-caste weather/
well in dat case
england weather
nearly always half-caste
in fact some o dem cloud
half-caste till dem overcast
so spiteful dem dont want de sun pass
ah rass/
explain yuself
wha yu mean
when yu say half-caste
yu mean tchaikovsky
sit down at dah piano
an mix a black key
wid a white key
is a half-caste symphony/
Explain yuself
wha yu mean
Ah listening to yu wid de keen
half of mih ear
Ah looking at u wid de keen
half of mih eye
and when I'm introduced to yu
I'm sure you'll understand
why I offer yu half-a-hand
an when I sleep at night
I close half-a-eye
consequently when I dream
I dream half-a-dream
an when moon begin to glow
I half-caste human being
cast half-a-shadow
but yu come back tomorrow
wid de whole of yu eye
an de whole of yu ear
and de whole of yu mind
an I will tell yu
de other half
of my story
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

:3 This is the last poem and it is called 'A Barred Owl', written by Richard Wilbur. :)

The warping night air having brought the boom
Of an owl’s voice into her darkened room,
We tell the wakened child that all she heard
Was an odd question from a forest bird,
Asking of us, if rightly listened to,
“Who cooks for you?” and then “Who cooks for you?”

Words, which can make our terrors bravely clear,
Can also thus domesticate a fear,
And send a small child back to sleep at night
Not listening for the sound of stealthy flight
Or dreaming of some small thing in a claw
Borne up to some dark branch and eaten raw.

This poem is quite creepy actually, especially when it comes to the last line... ><"'''''  However, my friends and I all think that the 'question' asks by the owl is very funny and we can't stop repeating that question... XDDD

Well, this is the end of my post today (>< a bit short)! :D  Thank you for reading it and see you next time! :D

White Collar :D

Hi guys~~~ sorry for updating my blog so slowly.... I was tooo relaxed during my half term... ><"" and I became a pig... T^T   I am still in holiday MODE now even though my half term is finished :(... YES, my half term only lasts for 5 days.... ><""   Anyway, I had a good time and I have been watching a TV series this few days and I am addicted to it..... =.='''   This TV series is called White Collar. :)

Actually, I think quite a lot of you have heard about it before since it was first released in 2009... XP  I suddenly started to watch it because some of my friends recommended this to me and I was attracted by the story line!   Here is a brief summary of this TV series. :)

Neal Caffrey, who was an infamous thief and forger, escaped from the prison to find his girlfriend (she left him suddenly) while he only had 3 months left in his four years sentence.    He was caught again by the FBI agent, named Peter Burke, caught him four years ago and Neal had a deal for Peter that he would work for the FBI as a work-release program so he can get freedom and the chance to find his girlfriend.    Peter accepted it after careful thoughts that the FBI had to rely on Neal's intelligence and these two very opposite people started to work together.

Well, this is Neal. :)

Neal is a skilled and intelligent (also good-looking XD) criminal who seems to know everything.    He understands fashion, fine art, history, business and most importantly, he has good social skills (everyone believes what he says XD).    He is therefore only caught by Peter in his whole career but sarcastically, he doesn't know what happens to his girlfriend.

And this is Peter. ^^

Peter is a FBI agent and is hard working and responsible.    He loves his wife and his job.     He  doesn't really agree with Neal's moral code but he has to cope with him as Neal was the only person who can get FBI the information they want.

Um... one very attracting thing of this TV series is that these two people are very smart and you would admire them very much as you watch it.    The settings of the story is not that good but this TV series is somehow very addictive that the actors are doing a great job and a lot of tensions are added into the scenes. *3* (Also all the dogs shown up are very cute!)

Well, I hope you would have a chance to watch this TV sereis :D and this is the end of my post today!  Hope you enjoy reading it and see you next time!!! :DDD
